The “Little House”.

The move to 2310 Hancock Drive marked the beginning of Pat’s Games' new home, while the dream of a new building at 2308 Hancock Drive had to be put on hold. Despite having less space in what was endearingly referred to as the “Little House” compared to the shopping center, the new location boasted a charming grass front yard with historic pecan trees. Tables and lights were arranged both indoors and outdoors, allowing customers to enjoy their time playing games. The “Little House,” dating back to 1942, required some repairs, including boarding up broken windows. Despite its initial state, the move was swift, with the grand opening happening the very next day. Though some referred to it as a shack, it was beautiful to me.

Determined to construct a new store at 2308 Hancock Drive, a loan of $80,000 was secured. Envisioning an L-shaped building with a welcoming desk at the entrance to greet customers, the I shared a picture of an L-shaped castle from England with the architect for inspiration. While the budget wasn't enough to replicate the castle, the store was successfully built, with plans for a pond and patio deferred until more funds were available. Reinvesting all profits back into the business, I eventually realized my vision adding the bridge and patio.
